Six Nations and Siga La Vaca (Follow the Cow)!

13th March

The day we have all been waiting for since arriving in Buenos Aires. It is a) our month-aversary and b) Ireland are playing rugby and c) we don't need any other reason to go to an all you can eat restaurant. The day itself was started off with a lazy sit down in the common room and we watched Ireland defeat Wales quiet easily. That was great and so our day was off to a good start.

We strolled around San Telmo region for a part of the afternoon mainly in search of a hair dresser for Angela. The city itself was very quiet and there were very few people on the streets. This phenomena is called the weekend in most of the cities in Argentina. The hustle and bustle of a week day seem to stop in its tracks. That was not a problem for us, less traffic and less obstacles on the way. We popped into the cinema to see Alice in Wonderland. That was cool and weird too, so not like the original.

Outside Siga La Vaca

The evening came and we have been starving ourselves in order to get our value for money in Siga la Vaca. We arrived for 8pm and the restaurant was already half full. It was a huge place inside with nice wooden tables and really nice salad buffet. We could immediately smell the asado (bbq) and it didn't take us long to get started. Many salads to choose from, and the main meat feast was to die for. We got our wine, got our sparkling water and we started eating. We managed to sit there for 3 hours and at the end we were literally 3 kilos heavier. Walking had become very difficult and it was the feeling of being back at high alltitudes, hard to breathe, and nausea. The people however were still queueing. Boy, I don't envy them at this moment. It was a great place and highly recommended on our list. Sleeping would be difficult tonight.

Nam nam nam, even the starters are amazingly tasty!

Our table

Still eating 2 hours into the visit!

Davids Chocolate vulcano with ice cream and berry coolie!

Luckily we got there in time.
These people are still, at 11pm, waiting to get seated!

(Siga La vaca was in Puerto Madero, that's why we crossed that off aswell.)
