La Bomba de Tiempo (Time Bomb)!

15th March
No time for Lauras list today i'm afraid, but tomorrow
we will cross the last 2 things of the list

Today Angela has a huge plan to cut her hair. She has been chasing a Canadian guy to do it but he has no appointments available for the time that we are in the city. She needs to settle for some other cowboy outfit instead. We get on the bus 59 to try and get to Barrio Norte (hair cutters paradise). On route we follow our map closly but the bus takes a suddne turn and we are going away from where we are suppose to go to. We try and confirm with him if we are still on track, he nods and agrees. However the woman beside us tries to help out. She can speak English and we are re-assured that we are going to get there. Yet another woman tries to help, although this one looks like she has too much plastic surgery over the years. But we get off with her as she is sure that this is the place we need to go to. On the street she looks at the map again, "oh" she says. "This is not the place, another 8 blocks for you" "sorry, sorry, I made a mistake". Nice work eh.

Angela with the mushroom cooker!

We arrive at the hair dressers anyway, later than we should have. But the process gets started. Washing, colouring, drying, highlights, more conditioning and then cutting. The process takes over 3 hours to complete. The end result is great though, and Angela looks super in her new hair cut. We jump on the jam packed metro during rush hour. Running a bit late than thought, we think that we won't be able to get to the show on time. At the hostel however our friends have not left yet so we have time to get changed and go.

At the Konex Cultural Centre we pay the entrance fee of AR$20 (€4) and get a 1 litre beer to start of the nights festivities. The percussion band called La Bomba de Tiempo are really really good. There is a samba feel and everybody is dancing and having a blast of a time. The musicians are talented and it was worth coming, as everyone says that its the best show around.
To top off the evening we get to a restobar for some wine and sancks, stumble home at around 3 am for a nice snooze.
