Today was our last day in Hanoi, so we found a place to stay. And off we went exploring the mean streets of Hanoi City. We went to the old quarter, and shopped for some art work that we really liked and proceeded to the post office to send a few things back home to lighten the load on our poor shoulders. As it happens people in the international parcel office tell you only about the high priced way off sending things, as if they were getting some cut of the profits. Well that is just what Vietnam is all about it seems, money, money and rip off the tourist as much as you can. Well that goes for all the countries we have visited so far actually. After successfully sending the parcel, we needed some well deserved dinner. We stumbled upon a place called Pho 24, basically a noodle soup with beef specialists. And they did not disappoint, the food was exellent there and reasonably priced too, so we were pleased. The day ended with us packing our bags again as the trip to Halong Bay was in the morning......exciting stuff. Hope the weather stays good, as we are sleeping on the boat that night.

David
