Brisbane City Life

22nd - 23rd September

The days of getting up early in the morning have not arrived yet. But we promise that they will soon enough.
So after meeeting the girls yesterday, we were back again to the city centre for some internet/coffee in our favourite Starbucks. We are also getting to know the city a little bit more each day, and it looks very nice indeed. Clean, modern and nice to walk around in. The bus transport is friendly and cool (air conditioned) and gets us from A to B.

We were also priveleged yesterday to witness a sand storm. It came all the way from Sydney in about 3 hours. As David was sitting in the coffee shop and I was walking around and looking at sales assistant jobs/shopping, the wind increased, and suddenly a red mist was covering Brisbane. The flights were all diverted from Sydney to Brisbane, and then of course Brisbane got hit aswell. So it was hard to breathe and we felt like we were back in the smog filled cities visited in Asia, we were home sweet home.

Brisbane City
Red Dust at day, makes your clothes go (can't thinkof any rhyme....sorry)

Anyway the days are going by quickly now and the money is going out of the account faster than ever before, but we were expecting this to happen. Oh also we have found somewhere to live, its in a place close to the city, and reasonably priced, and its with 3 Irish people that we met through Colin. We are moving in on Thursday the first of October. Wehoooooo!!!! David is also getting closer to applying for jobs, as he did the White Card Safety Course and hopes that this will get him a job in construction or anything else within the engineering industry. But it is only hope at the moment. He is going to be 27 years old on Thursday, so its party time.
