Last day in Bangkok.

We arrived at 6 am, at the bus station from Phuket, another fantastic overnight bus journey, our necks are definitely are bend out of shape now. Got a few hours sleep in the hotel, and then went about our daily business of shopping and sending parcels and poscards. Also managed to replace the broken camera, with another fine model, as we found a electronics heaven. (5 floors of duty free electronics shops).
In the evening met up with the Canadians (Bucket Ben and Family Guy Meg), and a very nice night was had, as we got to see the city of Bangkok from an 84th floor revolving platform at Bayieu Sky Hotel, in Pratunam district. The city was an array of different coloured lights, and a maze of lit up highways, a beautiful sight.

After that a retreat to the 83rd floor, for a refreshing cocktail and some live music entertainment! They played all the classics such as ABBA, Joss Stone, and of course a traditional Thai song that we all clapped along to, like tourists would do!

We got the elevator back down to earth, which took a few minutes! Then wondered around the block looking for a place to eat, while being offered to be brought to ping pong shows (seemingly, sexy type shows), which we had to politely decline! We picked up some last minute beer and street meat on the way to the hotel, and stayed up drinking, eating and talking until approx 4.15 am. (But its only 10.15 pm in Ireland, so technically an early night).
