Black Moon Party - Koh Phangan

22.06.09-23.06.09 - Black Moon Party!

Wow, That was 2 days ( 14 hours ) of Partying. It started with a few beers in Tuc's bar, (Tuc is a mad Thai guy who manages the beach bar, while drinking and smoking. He also runs through fire, nice guy!) at around 6 O'clock on the 22nd. A few Singha here and a few Chang there. The hot evening makes you drink a lot!

Tuc gave us some facepaints because at the black moon party there was going to be UV lights. We stayed there until about 11.30 before we went to get a taxi. Took another 20 minutes before we left the place because i was trying to get the taxi price down with no success. In the taxi i got a big shock as Jessie (Finnish guy) told me that all people in Finland make jokes about Swedish people! WHAT??!!
When we got there we went straight for the "Samsong Buckets" (Bottle of Thai whiskey and coke in a plastic sand bucket) Very nice... I like!
It's basically a Beach Party full of crazy people Starts at 22.00-08.00. Whenever the sun rises you go home.
We had a great time, drank loads.
Just when the sun was about to rise we went out to the water to see it, but David fell in the water and broke the camera. (Don't ask us why we didn't bring the waterproof one)

Just as we were going back home i got lost and thought i could walk home along the beach. I asked a Thai guy which way and he pointed LEFT. So i walked left (without ANY shoes). After an hour of walking left and still couldn't find the resort i asked some Thai women, sweeping the beach, for the way and they said 2 hours that way and pointed RIGHT! I broke down crying as i realized i had NO money for a taxi. Noone wanted to help me because i had no money. After 30 min of walking along the road a car pulled up full of Thai girls and boys. They gave me a lift back home. David wasn't there so i fell asleep in a hammock. David found me after a while and told me him, Ben and Megan had been everywhere looking for me, even in a hospital! (So the point of the story is.....NO MORE BUCKETS).

We had a looong hangover day to look forward to.

I do strongly recommend the black moon party. But whatever you do, DON'T get lost without money, or a good pair of walking shoes.
